Blueberry Raspberry Whey Protein ShakeThanks to a Mike’s Mix customer for coming up with this tasty protein smoothie recipe.  This smoothie has two full servings of fruit and 47 grams of protein! Using blueberries and raspberries together combines for a great taste with Mike’s Mix Whey Protein.  Both fruits are full of antioxidants and vitamins and only contain a small amount of sugar. Blueberries have the highest concentration of antioxidants of all fresh fruit containing; Anthocyanin, which has anti-inflammatory properties, Vitamin C, Vitamin B complex and Vitamins A & E. Diets high in blueberries and raspberries have been found to help reduce abdominal fat, lower cholesterol and reduce insulin sensitivity.

With just a touch of water the smoothie comes out thick and rich in flavor.  If you like extra sweetness, add in some additional raspberries.

Smoothie Ingredients:

2 Scoops Mike’s Mix Whey Protein
1/2 Cup Raspberries
1/2 Cup Blueberries
1/2 Cup Water

Combine ingredients into a blender. Blend on high speed for around 30 seconds until the whey protein is mixed in consistently. The recipe can use either frozen or fresh fruit, it is recommend you reduce the water to 1/3 cup when using frozen fruit.

I like to take whey protein because it is easily absorbed by the body unlike Casein. :
